Canon promotes job growth initiatives in Africa

The Canon Central and North Africa has embarked on job promotion initiatives in Kenya.

Canon disclosed this at the launch of its digital raffle campaign, according to a statement by CCNA on Tuesday

It said the project was part of its several initiatives to promote job opportunities such as the Miraisha Programme and Ambassadors Programme.

“Africa’s wildlife is one of the primary economic drivers for job growth on the continent. In fact, during the 2007-2008 global financial crisis, Africa was the only region that continued to see growth in tourism,” CCNA said.

CCNA’s Sales and Marketing Director, Amine Djouahra, noted that the two programmes were “to advance and promote job opportunities and future livelihoods in Africa by sharing skillsets and knowledge for photographers, videographers and filmmakers.”

“The Canon campaign takes this even further, by enlisting five local wildlife photography influencers to create authentic social media stories about conservation efforts across Kenya,” he added.
