Facebook trains SMBs on digital know-how

Facebook, through its local training partners, will be organising a free virtual training for small and medium businesses and creators across Africa.

The training is part of a series of ideas Facebook is using to mark the ‘Made in Africa, Loved by the World’ campaign in celebration of African Day.

According to the report, upcoming writers and entrepreneurs will be provided with the digital know-how to take their idea global.

From May 21, Facebook will also be unveiling eight creators and small business owners in Africa breaking ground across the world, in a series of short films tagged ‘Made by Africa, Loved by the World.’

On the impact of businesses in Africa, Regional Director, Facebook Africa, Nunu Ntshingila, said, “At Facebook we’re deeply invested in the creative industry in Africa, and nowhere is it more exciting to witness this vibrant creative scene than here on the continent.

“These people and businesses are changing the way Africa is seen, not just in Africa, but around the world, and are cementing our position as leaders in innovation and the creative industries.”

Mai Atafo, Lafalaise Dion, Jessica Allogo, Blinky Bill, Sauti Sol, Lola Pedro, Mark Angel, Laduma Ngxokolo are the creatives going to be featured in the film showcasing the global successes of African creative.
