According to the statement, the broadcast network will include the Nigerian Television Authority and the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria.

Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Flutterwave, Mr Olugbenga Agboola, stated that what prompted the sponsorship deal was the company’s desire to ‘make life easy’ for Nigerians.

He further said that Flutterwave was founded to, among others, make sports contents available and accessible to every Nigerian.

“If getting free access to sports, which represents our passion as Africans and fosters unity, is what makes life easy and grows our unity as a continent, we will surely be standing tall,” the statement read in part.

Lauding the sponsorship, co-founder of Afrosport TV, Andy Howes, stated that “it is the lifeblood of FTA TV and it is only by the support of companies, such as Flutterwave that millions of fans are able to participate in the enjoyment of an event like the AFCON through their TV sets.”
