Forum opens applications for women-led green enterprises

The Women in Green Energy Ventures Accelerator has opened applications for its Women in Green Energy Ventures Accelerator Programme.

In a statement made available to Financial Street, Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum said the eight-week event would target 10 women-led enterprises involved in green energy services.

“AWIEF Accelerator Programme is targeting 10 women-owned and/or women-led enterprises involved in renewable and green energy production or service.

“Entrepreneurs will receive tailored support and training for scaling; one-on-one expert mentoring and coaching; tangible opportunity to raise capital; access to networks, partners and investors for growth,” the statement read in part.

Criteria for qualification include a business registered and operating in either Malawi or Nigeria, and business operating for not less than two years

Applications close on March 1, 2021.
