Gtext Homes moves to create 100,000 jobs

A Lagos-based real estate broker company, Gtext Homes, has promised to create 100,000 jobs in Nigeria to address unemployment through its global programmes.

The Group Managing Director, Gtext Homes, Stephen Akintayo, stated this at a press conference at his office on Thursday.

Gtext organised the press conference towards the global dialogue on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Landmark event centre, Lagos.

Akintayo, a real estate broker of over 10 years, said, “We promised to create 100,000 jobs last year, and currently we have over 5,000 participants in our programme already. We have dedicated 15 per cent of our income to achieve that.”

The GMD described the conference as an opportunity for the organisation to further fulfil its promise of adding another 10,000 people into the programme, which will host 12,000 participants.

He added, “We hope it reduces unemployment. Between now and five years, we would have created 100,000 jobs,” the GMD affirmed.

Akintayo emphasised that if Nigeria did not want insecurity to persist, even in the private sector, it must create jobs.

He advised Nigerian youths to utilise the opportunity of social media and to market their business and develop networks across the globe.

Sales Manager of Gtext, Opemipo Loto, said, “The world has now become a global market.”

When asked if there is still a market for brokers in Nigeria, Loto added, “The market does not finish, neither does the product, only expansion.”
Akintayo said that Green and Smart Homes were gradually moving into the northern states, from Abuja.

The GText conference will host 12,000 participants; 10,000 online and 2,000 physical attendees.
