Katapult moves to address climate challenge

Katapult is setting up a 12-week fully digital programme for start-ups with the intention to address climate challenge.

According to a statement by Disruptafrica on Friday, startups in the fields of renewable energy, carbon capture, new data frontiers or smart cities, industry and mobility have been selected for the programme.

The climate-focused accelerator will be providing start-ups with training, technical expertise, access to networks and investments of between $150,000 and $400,000.

The Chief Executive Officer of Katapult, Nina Heir, reportedly said, “With a grounded belief that start-ups are most effective when they work on their actual businesses, our job is to provide you with the right tools and resources to build better businesses, faster.”

Application for the programme is open till June 1, 2021.
