MWUN, LFT parley for harmony in maritime sector

Determined to sustain peaceful co-existence and synergy in the maritime space, Lekki Freeport Terminal has met with Maritime Worker’s Union of Nigeria on sustaining industrial peace and harmony in the Nigerian maritime industry.

The LFT, a business unit of CMA CGM conglomerate, recently won the concessioning of the container terminal inside the Lekki Deep Seaport.

It is the only operator with a 45-year sub-concession agreement from Lekki Port, which is situated at Lagos Free Zone, to operate the container terminal in the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos.

Representing the maritime workers were President-General of MWUN, Adewale Adeyanju, and the Deputy President-General, Tonye Harry, who both promised to ensure harmony at the terminal.

The LFT management was represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Denrick Moos, and the General Manager/Head of Government Relations, Fubara Awanta.
