NAFDAC trains importers, freight forwarders on ports clearance

Poised to end the influx of fake drugs in the country, the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control has scheduled a virtual training programme for importers and freight forwarders on electronic licensing and ports clearance.

The Director, Ports Inspection of NAFDAC, Professor Samson Adebayo, stated on Tuesday that the workshop would serve as enlightenment and interaction between the Director-General of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, and major players at the seaports, airports and land borders.

According to him, the training is scheduled to hold on Thursday, February 11, 2021 by 11a.m.

The statement read in part, “NAFDAC is pleased to invite importers, clearing agents and other ports stakeholders to a virtual sensitisation workshop aimed at providing a platform for enlightenment and interaction between the Director-General of NAFDAC and major players at the seaports, airports and land borders.

“This workshop will cover recent updates and developments on electronic licensing and ports clearance.”
