The customs boss urged the military to remain focused and strong, while not allowing the sad occurrence to dampen their morale.
“The Comptroller General of Customs, Col. “The CG, officers and men of the NCS are deeply saddened by the sudden death of these patriotic officers, who were in the course of making peace in the Country,” the PRO stated.
Describing the late COAS as a disciplined military professional with exceptional passion for peace and a strong partner in the ongoing fight against smuggling, Ali prayed for the repose of their souls.
While noting that such tragic incident could dampen the morale of military personnel, the CG urged members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, particularly the Army, to remain strong and focused in the fight against security challenges in the country.
