First Bank of Nigeria has approved the appointment of Mr Gbenga Shobo as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer-designate.
Shobo succeeds Sola Adeduntan, whose tenure expires this April ending.
Financial Street gathered that the board of FBN took the decision at its meeting on Wednesday.
Prior to the appointment, Shobo was a Deputy Managing Director.
The board chairman, Mrs Ibukun Awosika, listed other appointments made by the bank to include Abdullahi Ibrahim as DMD.
Mr Ini Ebong, Mr Segun Alebiosu, Mr Seyi Oyefeso and Mrs Bashirat Odunewu were appointed executive directors.
The appointments are all subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
