Small and medium-scale enterprises and freelancers across Africa can now enjoy “a seamless payment and banking transactions with their customers globally”.
Flutterwave and PayPal gave this indication while announcing the conclusion of a new partnership.
According to Flutterwave, an African fintech startup, this new collaboration allows “customers globally to pay African merchants through the Flutterwave platform”, therefore enabling SMEs and freelancers to overcome the present challenges of complex and fragment payment structure.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola, speaking on the announcement, said, “We are excited to bring Paypal’s fully integrated services to business across Africa.
“The collaboration reinforces our vision of creation a seamless digital payments system for Africa’s business communities that can now transact with international consumers.”
Flutterwave had on Mar. 11 said it secured $170m in capital injections from a group of international investors, raising its value to over $1bn.
