The Lagos State government has announced plans to construct a Green Rail Line at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this announcement via his official Twitter account after a two-day tour at the Lekki Free Trade Zone and Dnagote Refinery on Saturday.

“We are particularly focusing on developing critical infrastructure along this axis because we don’t want a replay of the Apapa gridlock. We are committed to making the zone business-friendly because the area has the potential of being a centre of industrialisation in the country,” he stated.

Sanwo-Olu expressed his government’s determination to encourage investors to do business in the state.

The governor, however, announced that the state would also commence the construction of Magbo Alade road leading to the LFTZ in May, 2021.
