The Director-General of National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, Mr. Idris Musa, has said that the agency is is partnering Qcuboyds Limited, a Spain-based firm, to address incessant explosions associated with fuel.

Musa, who stated this in Abuja during a virtual meeting with the firm at the weekend, also said the Federal Government was ready to end incessant explosions associated with Liquefied Petroleum Gas and other gaseous substances across the country with TK3D technology.

TK3D is a 3D bee panel alloy mesh that has been developed and optimised through the years by Technokontrol to completely eradicate the risk of explosion by protecting chemicals, liquid gases, light fuels and High Limit Safety Shut-off fuels with up to five per cent sulphurs and Rocket Propellant-1.

He said the agency would partner with technology experts to implement the technology in Nigeria, adding that all the necessary registrations would be done by Qcuboyds Nigeria Limited, to eliminate the incessant explosions and boost oil revenues in the country.

The Minister of State Environment, Sharon Ikeazor, said the ministry would support technologies targeted at reducing explosions at tank farms and fuel stations.

On his part, the chairman of Qcuboyds Limited Nigeria, Victor Folarin, said the technology had been approved worldwide.
