Entries open for NAS media award

The National Academy of Science has called on science reporters to submit entries for its Science Media Award.

The event, which did not hold last year due to the Coronavirus Disease crisis, returned this year in partnership with Vitafoam, to honour outstanding science reporters in print, broadcast and online journalism.

Journalists reporting science-related stories are to submit three of their best stories published between January and December 2020 for the award.

Applicants in the print category are to scan the original copy of their story in PDF format with clearly written and hyperlinked URL address, while broadcast stories are to be uploaded on YouTube for video and SoundCloud for radio.

Each applicant should provide synopsis of the submitted story, a 150-word biography and a 200-word piece explaining the motivation behind  the story.

The deadline for submission is May 3, 2021, while the award will hold on June 18, 2021.
