Ex-Customs CG, Dikko, dies at 61

The immediate past Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko, is dead.

The Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Joseph Attah, stated on Thursday that the Katsina State-born Dikko died in a private hospital in Abuja from yet-to-be disclosed ailment.

He stated, “The family of the former Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko, just announced his passing today. His funeral prayers (Janaza ) will take place Friday, February 10, 2021, after Jumaat prayer at National Mosque, Abuja. He was the CG of Customs from August 2009 to August 2015. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and may Aljannatul Firdausi be his final abode. May Allah give his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Amin.”
